Project Synopsis

Nick Lawrence (whilst working at A&Q Partnership) worked on the Digby Road affordable housing scheme, which meets the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA), Lifetime Homes, Code Level Three and revised Part M standards. It sits on a difficult,  triangular site on Digby Road, Hackney, London.

The accommodation rises from five storeys to a 14 storey tower next to Homerton Overground Station, which is two stops away from the Olympic site.

The scheme has an undulating green roof, which provides outdoor space for inhabitants at sixth-floor level. The terracotta cladding is also complimented by a living green-walling system.
